Snapdragon 888 | The new era of mobile processing
After the launch of last year's Snapdragon 865 processor , Qualcomm has officially announced its’ all new Snapdragon 888, skipping the expected Snapdragon ‘875’.
The importance of getting to know about the 888 is all about it's advancements from Snapdragon 865.
Better performance
The new Snapdragon 888 5nm is based on new kryo 680 core, which is said to be run at a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz. This processor is said to be able to run all the games and apps very smoothly and fast without any hesitation.
Better Graphics
Snapdragon 888 is equipped with a improved Adreno 660 GPU. This can perform much better in handling graphics intensive games and cut down times in game loading. This will perform around 35% better than the Snapdragon 865’s GPU.
Integrated 5G
Unlike the 5G support which , made by integrating Snapdragon X55 5G modem conjunction with Snapdragon 865, the 888 come with an integrated X60 5G modem. This will make the 888 a bit cheaper for mobile phone manufacturers as well as for you. The X55 will be able to provide a peak download speed of 7.5Gbps and a peak upload speed of 3Gbps. This will also support for Wi-Fi 6, and will be able to connect to latest Wi-Fi networks.
